Wednesday, Happy Day

Middle of the week come and gone! The days have been warm and breezy and Bugg was able to wear shorts for the first time this year, yesterday.

This morning Hector and I dropped Bugg off at school and then headed to the local swap meat. I love that place! Nothing better than rummage shopping all in one location. We were able to get the spare key made for the pontiac and for such a reasonable price! Also, I found a really neat antique "looking" framed wall art of a flintlock pistol by Turner Wall Art. I will post a pic, tomorrow. I can see it hanging somewhere, just not sure where yet. lol! Tacos and champurado and my day was set! We spent a good 2 hours there, and honestly the best part of it all is getting in some good quality time with my Husband. :)

Cleaned house picked up Bugg, and then we headed out to do some shopping. I finally went and bought this professional window cover that is supposed to block daylight out for those who work graveyard. The sun has become considerably brighter in recent day and Hector had had a hard time sleeping because of it. I was also able to find a neptune night light for Bugg's room and it couldn't have been more perfect for his bedroom makeover. It's projects the solar system onto the ceiling! He, actually WE love it!

After homework and assembling Hector's dinner and lunch for work we head to MeMaw's and Papa's for family night and the kids had a great time throwing the ball around, batting, and getting good practice in. Christian's first game of the season is this Saturday and Alex made his school's baseball team (the only 4th grader who did so I might add!) and so it's become a regular thing to see the boys practicing when they're together. Of course rough housing makes the list, too. Climbing tree's and riding scooters! As always, Bless my MeMaw's heart, she makes dinner for us all! Fresh flour tortillas...mmmmmmmm!

I've almost got Christian's room assembled, I just realized that I need to buy some more alligator hooks for the back of the shelves. I can't handle hanging them w/ the nail hole that they come with. They're unstable and really a pain to match up with the nails. I'm so excited to see the finished result! His big boy room! He grew so quickly! I'm reminded by the fact that my little, my baby, is finishing up 1st grade and soon to be entering the 2nd grade! I almost cried when I took him to class on the first day of this school year and he actually had to sit at an assigned desk! That was a huge milestone that thit me like a rock to my chest. He was so itty-bitty and was barely shoulders over the top of it. He's not only the youngest in his class, but now he's the tallest! Go figure! It's all happened so quickly. On his last day of 1st grade I'll be sure to post a pic from the last days of pre-school and kinder and you will see for yourself just how fast they grow. Bitter-sweet.
